Student Immigration Compliance Team Leader

Bournemouth University is seeking a Student Immigration Compliance Team Leader to join their team. This role involves leading and managing the student immigration compliance function, ensuring the university meets its obligations as a Student Route sponsor.

The post holder will provide expert advice and guidance on student immigration matters, oversee compliance monitoring activities, and lead a team of immigration advisers. They will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to ensure students and the institution remain compliant with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations of the student immigration compliance team, providing specialist advice on Student Route visa requirements, monitoring and reporting on compliance activities, supporting audits and inspections, and developing policies and procedures to maintain sponsor licence compliance.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in student immigration compliance within a higher education setting, a thorough knowledge of UKVI Student Route requirements, and proven experience of leading or supervising a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret complex immigration rules and guidance are essential.
