This is an exciting opportunity to join a Urology Foundation funded research project investigating the mechanisms underlying Candida urinary tract infections (UTIs) and evaluating novel treatment strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to a programme of research examining how metabolic factors influence the ability of Candida spp. to cause fungal UTIs.

The postholder will use microbiological and cell culture techniques including antimicrobial susceptibility testing, 2D and 3D culture and confocal microscopy. The role will involve analysing and interpreting experimental data, preparing research outputs and the dissemination of findings. The successful applicant will also contribute to project design, supervision of students and the development of future funding applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to generate findings that improve the prevention and treatment of fungal UTIs.

You will join a supportive and collaborative research team and work alongside academic staff, postgraduate researchers and students.
