We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our high-performing Education and Student Experience (ESE) team in the School of Life Sciences.

As Operations Manager for ESE, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing various aspects of the student journey, from prospective student recruitment events through to induction, student engagement, module choice and graduation. This includes leading on new tutoring and engagement processes within the School, planning and delivering events for undergraduate and masters offer holders, and coordinating student engagement in feedback opportunities through the year.

You will bring to the role proven administrative skills and experience, and event and people management skills, preferably within a higher education context. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and be able to interact and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. You will bring first class IT skills and proven attention to detail.

Taking a proactive and flexible approach to managing your workload to meet strict deadlines, you will be experienced in working supportively as part of a team to deliver activities in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will also have proven problem-solving skills to develop and drive forward enhancements and new initiatives relating to ESE.

This position is a fixed-term, full-time post (36.25 hours per week) until 30 June 2027.

The University of Nottingham supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus and some time spent working from home to support flexibility, recognising that individuals and teams can be effective given the choice of environment.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
