The Wellbeing and Mental Health Service at the University of Chester are seeking skilled and compassionate Mental Health Advisers to join our multi-disciplinary Student Services Department. We are recruiting to two positions: one full-time permanent position and one full-time fixed-term position (12 months) to support the continued growth of our Mental Health Adviser provision. This is an opportunity to use your professional expertise in a supportive Higher Education environment, helping students to thrive academically and personally.

Mental Health Advisers play a key role in managing the increasing incidence of complex mental health cases across the University. You will work with a diverse caseload, providing one-to-one support, risk assessments, crisis intervention, group sessions and awareness campaigns.

Mental Health Advisers work closely with colleagues in Wellbeing and Disability & Inclusion, as well as collaborating with other internal teams and external services.

We offer a supportive team culture and independent supervision. There is opportunity and encouragement to utilise a range of further training and development, which will help grow your expertise to confidently support our students. We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
