Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO) is part of the University's Global Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions (GRMA) Directorate. The team plays a key role in attracting, engaging and supporting prospective students from across the UK and around the world, contributing to the University's student recruitment, widening participation and access ambitions.

MRAO includes a Hub and Spoke marketing teams model. This role sits within the Faculty of Sciences Spoke team, working closely with academic colleagues and the wider MRAO Hub and Student Recruitment teams to deliver targeted marketing and student recruitment activity that supports the Faculty's recruitment and conversion objectives.

You will work with academic departments to develop and deliver targeted marketing and student recruitment activity for the Faculty of Sciences, supporting the attraction and conversion of home and international students.

You will create engaging content across web, social media, email, SMS, print and digital advertising, as well as supporting student recruitment events and activities. You will use data, insight and feedback to evaluate activity, identify opportunities and inform decision-making.

A key part of the role will be developing strong relationships with academic and professional services colleagues, while managing multiple activities and projects, working independently and responding effectively to changing priorities.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

- Experience of working in a marketing and/or student recruitment role, ideally within a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and digital communications channels, including an understanding of web accessibility.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for different audiences and channels.
- The ability to gather, analyse and interpret data and insight to inform activity, evaluate impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Good problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Experience of using digital technologies, including a content management system (CMS) and Google applications and/or Microsoft Office.
- The ability to build positive working relationships, collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
- A Level 3 qualification, or equivalent professional experience or non-UK qualification.

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves. We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are underrepresented at the University.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. As a Disability Confident employer, we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum (essential) criteria for each position will be offered an interview.
