Sign in Create an accountThis is an exciting opportunity for a current Royal Holloway student to join the University's Internal Communications team as an Internal Communications Intern.
The Internal Communications team sits in the Marketing and Communications directorate and is responsible for working with the team to develop and deliver engaging communication updates, events and campaigns to both current students and staff at Royal Holloway.
The successful candidate will support the Internal Communications team by identifying, creating, editing, and delivering digital content using a range of techniques. A key focus will be sourcing and producing content for Royal Holloway's internal social media, particularly Instagram, aligned with the team's priorities. Responsibilities may also include supporting content creation for newsletters, the University's intranets, events, and campaigns such as the National Student Survey.
The role involves working the equivalent of seven hours per week. In addition, ad hoc tasks may be required from the wider team at key points in the year.
Applicants should have an excellent standard of written English, a good eye for detail, and experience of, or a strong interest in, creating content. Familiarity with Instagram and how the platform can be used to engage different audiences is essential. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to deadlines in a positive and proactive manner are also required.
