We are looking to expand our internal audit team with a motivated and competent individual. The successful candidate will be able to quickly adapt to the Higher Education environment, and effectively perform risk-based, and control-based internal audits.
The University's Internal Audit Service is highly regarded throughout the University and is well placed to have a significant positive impact on the future direction of the University. The role is varied and interesting.
Responsibilities include planning, carrying out, and reviewing internal audits in the following areas:
- Systems processes and controls
- Governance
- Risk management
- Value for money
You will also manage the tracking and monitoring of implementation of management actions, to ensure they have been appropriately and effectively implemented. You may be asked to assist on ad hoc investigations.
The University has campuses in three countries (UK, China and Malaysia) so international travel is a possibility.
We are looking for a CCAB qualified or equivalent candidate with professional services experience (internal audit, external audit or advisory). Whilst Higher Education internal audit experience is desirable, we are looking for a candidate with the right skills and behaviours to be successful, so this is not a pre-condition of application.
This is a permanent full-time post, however job share arrangements and part time applications will be considered. Working hours are 36.25 hours per week. Part-time applications (minimum 21.75 hours per week) are encouraged. Please specify your preferred hours in your application.
