Role Summary

We are seeking an Apprenticeship Quality Compliance Officer to join our Directorate of Student and Academic Services (SaAS), supporting the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship provision across the University.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting apprenticeship quality and Ofsted inspection readiness, helping to ensure that compliance requirements are met and that accurate evidence, data and documentation are in place. Key responsibilities include coordinating the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and individual action plans, monitoring progress and supporting inspection preparation, working closely with the apprenticeship compliance and quality teams, operational teams, Academic Leads and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the planning and monitoring of Ofsted inspection readiness, including the preparation of documentation and supporting evidence.
- Coordinate and contribute to the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and individual action plans, ensuring information is accurate and progress is monitored.
- Monitor and report on quality compliance information, identifying and escalating risks, issues and areas requiring action.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support compliance activities, simulation exercises, training, guidance and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

- Experience or knowledge of apprenticeship compliance, quality assurance or regulatory processes, with an understanding of the importance of inspection readiness.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records, monitor information and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, including the ability to work with databases and spreadsheets, produce clear documentation and reports, and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

- Experience working in an apprenticeship or education compliance role.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted requirements.
- Familiarity with higher education apprenticeship delivery.
